I am a psychotherapist and bodyworker with a lifelong passion for art, creativity, spirituality and personal development. My formal training began in 2004, when I began studying at Shiatsu Australia (now EastWest College) and then later at the Australian Shiatsu College. My interest in the relationship between mind and body drew me towards counselling and I subsequently completed an Advanced Diploma of Counselling at the Phoenix Institute in Melbourne.
In addition to other work, I am an award-winning writer and poet and a longtime explorer of shamanic, esoteric and ritual technologies. I maintain practices in yoga and martial arts and am fascinated by human movement and human potential. All of these interests deeply inform my work.
My written work has appeared in a number of Australian journals in addition to Best Australian Poetry.
I am passionate about stories and helping you understand the narratives that have bound and shaped your life. When we know our stories then we can empower ourselves to rewrite them into something new.
My role is to listen and hold space for you. I am not a guru and I have no ready-made answers. Rather, I am a guide, helping you tap into your own inner resources and access the innate wisdom that lies within.
Trained as a counsellor and pyschotherapist, I am also a qualified shiatsu therapist. Through years of experience I have found that talk therapy has its limitations and that a holistic approach is required. I use breath, embodiment, deep imagery, personal ritual and a range of other approaches in my practice.
I am also a published writer with a strong interest in the relationship between creativity and wellbeing. I have long standing interests in personal development, human potential, mythology, ritual, the esoteric and the sacred. All of these deeply inform my work.
